Why did lot of good players left Tremulous?

Where are old good times when you could saw at least 3 clans in every server?
It was year 2006-2008 when tremulous was mostly active.
It was when tremulous was new mod on q3 engine.
Why ppl left tremulous in years 2009-2011? Because TREMULOUS NEEDS UPDATE.
Why developers of tremulous are too "lazy"? Because this isn't their job! It's just their hobby.
